My wife loves BBO, however, she cannot play a game because the connection keeps "getting lost". She is using an X86 based computer, Windows 7, Firefox, Microsoft Security Essentials. How do I fix this?

This is generally due to a problem with your network connection quality.

If she's using the old download client, try switching to the web client -- it doesn't use the network as heavily. It also has a connection quality indicator in the corner.

What's a web client? download client? How do I find out which one is in use?

To use the web client, you have to go to www.bridgebase.com and click the yellow highlighted "Play Bridge Now link" in your browser, or you can click it right here (Click to open web client)

To use the windows client. you have to be running a windows PC (or another computer with a windows emulator) and run a program named "netbridgevu.exe". You would have had to download this program and installed it on your computer some time ago,
