I'm a simple soul, I win, ruff a spade and run all the clubs throwing 2 hearts and 3 diamonds. I hope East has 4+ diamonds and only 2 spades as well as the king of hearts for a squeeze (double squeeze if hearts are 3-3).

Manudude's line seems right to me.

An alternative is to take a heart finesse now, then cash all but one trump, then decide between the double squeeze with hearts as the pivot (the one Manudude is playing), and a double squeeze with diamonds as the pivot (cash A and the last trump). However, for that double squeeze to operate we'd need LHO to have all the spades above the 8, which is too much to hope for.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

The double squeeze with hearts as the pivot doesn't work unless you've ruffed RHO's spade out. RHO guards spades and diamonds past dummy, LHO guards hearts. I think ruffing RHO's spade card out only gains if he is 2-3-4-4 precisely i.e. LHO would need to have stiff jack of trumps.

Also beats 2353 and 2362 where trumps break as they're supposed to.

Ah yes, sorry, not sure why I mentally converted "4+diamonds" to "4=diamonds".

What sort of count signals do they play? If they play standard, RHO might help me out at trick one.

I am an insane over-bidder!!

I agree with Wayne's line, early heart finesse not only creates pitch problems from dummy on last club, also imagine a LHO with KQJxxx K xxxx xx for example.

Sounds like you've not noticed the double of 5H.
