Missing the good spot cards, A and low to the Q probably does make sense as you have lost some of your 4-0 splits. So I think we are discussing slightly different problems.

maybe in the encyclopedia its lacking the 8, that seems weird to me and i read it as all the spots but i could be wrong, ill hunt for my encyclopedia and check it out. The 8 does matter of course since now you can never pick up KJ8x with rho. But i love this combination because its so counter-intuitive and many top players ive talked to about this combo thought leading the ace first was right.
