Hand 1: probably a small club, because I tend to play that the X of 2 says "I have another suit I want you to lead" as partner's already shown diamonds.

Hand 2: Choice is between a top diamond (partner's suit) and the club. The club gains when partner has either minor ace; the diamond gains when oppo's diamonds are 2-2 including the A, *and* they have the A. I lead the .

On hand 1, I pass over 1. Partner's final double may be based on an expectation of more stuff in my hand. As for leads,

1. depends very much on our agreement about east's first double. With a BBO random and no agreement, I lead a diamond.
2. stiff club, I have trump control and reasonable hope to put partner on lead.

Hand 2 is an undisclosed double fit. This argues for declaring rather than defending, so I would consider 5 instead of double. Still, two aces .. hard to be sure.

On hand 1: I have no ruffing values but a parter with a fistfull of tricks in the other suits. I lead a trump. I would like to play low and to regain the lead and lead ace and another later, but I do not see a way that partner has two hearts, so I lead ace and another.

BTW: 2 was a mixed raise?

Hand 2: I lead a club to get my ruffs.
Kind Regards

Roland
