I often find that I find a new parter at a "partnership desk" and then I want to talk to the person about conventions. I resort to finding the person's name in the lobby, and clicking on that. Is there anyway to just type in a person's username to start a chat? Rather than finding some instance of their name to click on?
(If not, there should be.)

there's probably a better way, but you can use the 'leave mail' thingy in the chat box.. type your message then type their nick in that

If you want to send a message to someone and he/she is listed in partnership desk, look carefully at the partnership desk window.

Highlight the name of the interesting looking person, and look at the bottom of that box. There is a space that says "Chat" with an empty space beside it. Type your chat there........

Yes... Any other combobox (with the edit control) instead of that. It can be changed with the only one mouse click in the application Borlands-like builders but it could help us It's a small step for the (hu)man, but...
