Now 4♠ shows 25+ TP and rebiddable spades, which doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, since with rebiddable spades and any opening+ strength we could act directly over the preempt.

Thanks for reporting. Limited to 18-TP as otherwise initial call has to be at least Double (or at least for GIB currently). Therefore, 18TP is your max later.
