So pd proposed that 2M-4m be fit showing...even not in competition. Then we had an auction 2H P 4C 4S and were able to sacrifice in 6H for s win.

So I got to thinking that 1H -4m or even 3H-4m may be better used as FSJs but I wonder what the point of FSJs after we open in spades. Doesn't this just let them bid 4H?

So maybe

1H-3S as a minor suit splinter and
1H-3N as a spade splinter
1H-4m as FSJs

1S-3H as void splinter
1S-3N as heart splinter
1S-4m as splinters

Btw we play limited openings which makes a huge difference. Thoughts?

Yeah I wrote a blog post like forever ago that basically questioned the merits of fit jumps at all when your suit is spades for the exact reason you mentioned.

I would not play your scheme but I think it is reasonable and the logic for it is sound.

Fit-bids for Hearts, Yes.
Slam-tries for Spades.
Just blab and let opponents easy ins to spades.
