I pass, regardless of scoring.
#1 X is penalty. ( Added later - More precise the X is optional, indicating 10-12 bal.)
#2 I would not have passed over 2NT, but this is stylistic, matter of agreement set.
#3 They made it? Next board.
After seeing your partners hand - just ask him, if he happens to have a penalty X?

Hmmmmm............. 5♦ is a pretty good contract, but it needs no ♦ loser to make. I'd say that on the bidding ♦ 2-2 is less likely than normal. So, I missed yet another game. Maybe they will push us there?

3♠ doubled is down 2 or should be and it doesn't look that tough. That's where I would be playing it too.

I mean i wasn't kidding when my earlier siggy said that i go to BBF if i need to laugh.

Look at the replies, no pass, NOt even a single pass, not even someone considering or mentioning a pass untill OP posts the 4 hands. And TA-Rammm here comes i would have passed the double and defend 3♠ replies at Oct 26th.
I wonder if you guys really would pass, had OP said pd had (just changing his minor cards and a club spot) 3♠ doubled making and our 5♦ still making.
