No explanation provided for 3♣, although it's built in to the explanation of the redouble, {edit: and nothing like the hand that human South actually holds}. Does East really have a hand suitable for his double? Does West really have a hand suitable for his final pass?

I don't know about E, but my experience is that GIB has no ability to deal with XX. It frequently seems to pass out of confusion.

3♣ missing explanation is - Aggressive weak jump overcall -- 7+ ♣; 10- HCP; 3+ total points

GIB simulated to reopen with X, otherwise book bid is Pass. But after sim it almost always reopens likely due 17TP.

No chance GIB to predict human is making preempts with GF values.

Even thinking south is much weaker (with north stronger), and moving dk to East, shouldn't west be pulling anyway? I think GIB passes takeout doubles way too often with shapely weak hands. What's west's estimate of 4s making vs. 4c going down?

I think on these kind of decisions, leaving in takeout doubles, west should be using looser definition of the opponents bids, leave room for heavier than normal preempts, otherwise it will have these 4c-x or xx making way too often. Not as heavy as actual South, but enough that with a stronger North it's right to take out.

How come North thinks its hand is suitable for a raise to 4♣- its absolutely abysmal given the normal definition of 3♣.

North's 4♣ is fixed.
