SO I am getting back into bridge now, winding up to some trials, and am feeling a bit rusty in every day situations. So what would you do here?

3. A little aggressive, but I like the location of my honors.

3 is "aggressive"? I would call it cristal clear..
I thought about 4 Spades, but Partnr will bid it with the right cards anyway.
Kind Regards

Three spades is enough with flat distribution, the fit jump increasing the likelihood of partner actually holding four spades. A responsive double is just likely to confuse everyone with no benefit.

Another option was selected against a pair you might face in the trials - let's pass to see if they both understand that three clubs is a fit bid. A well-timed action, glad I'm not a selector.
