This was from the final session of a regional KO, and I think that it was well bid by my teammates.

At the table where I sat west, the bidding was the same except that after South showed no keycards, North was afraid of two fast spade losers and stopped in 5.

At the other table, my teammate sitting North decided that for South's jump to 4, he had to have both black kings if he lacked the A.

This was worth 13 IMPs in a 4 IMP win.

FYI - I posted another hand that netted us 13 IMPs in a 4 IMP win. We happen to have had 2 such hands in seperate matches in the same KO, and each match ended as a 4 IMP victory.

I have corrected bidding and comments. It was a jump, but I entered in wrong (twice).

I'd certainly jump to 4 with xxx, QJ10xxx, void, Kxxx, but I agree there's a good chance he has the K.

This hand is interesting if you play Lebensohl or its reverse over 2-X-P- as many do, there is now a danger of wrongsiding a heart contract so you end up playing 6 or 6N. What would you bid over (2)-X-(P)-2N!-(P)- if your method dictates that you show hands with South's values via 2N (and do you think the south hand is good or bad ?).

hmmm after 4h bid 5h which asks p to bid slam with a spade control--
If p has 1st round they bid 5s with 2nd round they bid 6h. very
straighforward.

anyway good point about bidding 5h to ask about s control.
