Nah, I don't really want to know. Here is what happened at the STAC:

A friend called us to relate her goof on the hand. She was all geared up to show a huge NT hand, and overcalled 2NT!!

O.K., that'll happen. However, Terry explained that our opponent on the same hand took a more aggressive stance. He overcalled 2. :rolleyes:

I have a novice student who is like this. When I overcall 2 he thinks I have gf hand, and when someone bids 1-pass-1NT-pass-2 he thinks its transfer. But he hasn't played for a year yet so has an excuse.

LOL too true.

How many times have we seen in the novice game someone overcall their 'better minor'. At the two level B-)

This happened last night.
Not sure if you would call the attempted sacrifice a "brain freeze" or just "not a good idea" :
I decided on a 4H opening preempt:



A lead which South ruffed. ( Theoretically, this could be the only trick for Declarer )

Low to the J, won by East.

But Declarer got 2 tricks for - 8 X or - 2000 for - 14.5 IMPs
