betting for singleton diamond in dummy and doubleton in partners hand never works for me. I would lead a major to hope to get 2 side tricks and 3 diamonds. Not sure if spade or heart is better, I think spade since we need few tricks.

I guess that hearts are my partners longest suit, but how will he read the lead?
I go with a (systemcal 2. highest) spade without much confidence.

I'd lead a low diamond, even though it never works for me either.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn
