White/red I would for sure, it is not close to me, having 6 is a flaw but every other thing is there, great suit, no D, 2-1 in the majors, completely pure etc. White/red it is not unlikely that we have a good save in 5C if partner chooses to bid it over something. And even if we "preempt partner" and he bids 3N, we still have tricks for him.

what JLOGIC says. I used to be mega-conservative in 2nd seat, but this just looks so much like a 3C opening I can't face not doing so.

Hah, I consider myself quite conservative in 2nd seat but that's my feeling too.

To me, this looks like 3 even in a system where we have a weak two in clubs available (which most of us don't). The hand is a totally pure preempt: very strong suit with no ace, no side strength whatever and no major suit length. It's flaws are the lack of a seventh club and being in second seat. IMHO the favorable vulnerability outweighs both factors comfortably.

Yup. Partner should be expecting about 5 tricks; I have 5 tricks.

I voted yes, but I think I'd open 4 at these colours with absolutely no defence and nothing in the majors. I fully expect to be shot down in flames for why this isn't a good idea... B-)

very refreshing, losed 8 when team mates had -500 at the other table after overcalling 3 while I got +130 after passing. I need to change my conservative views for second position openers.

Pretty normal 3C bid. I would do it regardless of vulnerability.

six four, bid more.

Not sure you need to change your views about second position preempts, maybe you should instead change your views about preempts with 2-1 in the majors?
