Your bid and please explain your choice. (yellows exempt)

I would bid 1H. I have long hearts and enough to overcall, not enough to jump to 2H which would be like an ace better.

Ok. In direct what do you bid?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

1H in both positions, i dont preempt with 2 aces in the direct position, and I dont have enough for 2H in balancing.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Add another person to 1 in both direct and balancing seat. We have too much defense for 2 in direct, and we need another 3-4 HCP for balancing seat - after 1 any - Pass - Pass, Intermediate Jump Overcalls showing roughly 14-16 points and a 6+ card suit should be used.

1 in direct seat. Not a preemptive type of hand, so no jump in direct seat - too much defense, flexibility and offensive potential for a preempt.

1 in balancing seat. Not a good enough hand to jump in balancing seat, which shows an above-average opening hand with a good suit (and typically a one-suiter).

Perhaps the most interesting question is what do you open in 1st position?

To me definetely not 2. I have a void, i have 2 aces and i have 3 cards . I have everything that flaws a weak 2 opening. Depending on your style 1 or pass, with these spot texture i would pass in 1st seat.
