nice "convertable values" double for the level. But partner is scrambling for the correct minor-suit strain and I think 5D is enough.

If it turns out she has other intentions, she will move. It is not as if you have great offensive distribution which will take a lot of tricks with just a diamond fit.

Tempting for slam but i would bid 5

In order to make slam

-You need our side to not lose 2 aces

-Even if pd has an Ace (likely ) u need not to lose 2 immediate tricks

-Even if he has A and stiff , u need him to have Q so LHO can not promote his Qx or stiff Q on 2nd

- Even if pd has xx x QJTxx Axxxx, u will be dependent to split or early decision if they shift

Or maybe i just worked too much today and on a pessimist mood :P

Not going to guess here. 5D. I'm entitled to expect 1 helpful card from pard, but not 2.

Also, if I end up needing the spade finesse, it's prolly off.

I thought I could see through the back of the cards too! It was a short matchpoint event, so I passed 4N  x xx Qxxxx AJxxx one time?

Pard had xx void QJTxx JTxxxx. 4N was not a success but it wasn't a total disaster either. 6 cannot be made by the way - diamonds were 4-0 and the K was offside.
