Sounds like a slam try (Gib probably thinks you have some 15+ HCP)

GIB plays michaels cue-bids, so I have to think GIB is playing you for a hand too good to use Michaels. Perhaps if you left gib alerts in of your 4♥ bid we would know if this is the case

So what is the correct call initially?
2NT
3♣
3♦

My initial was to bid 2NT, but until you cross this road with GIB your just not sure,
It just seems if Gib couldnt make a pref over 3 hearts how did his can grow up so
Much by you rebidding four hearts over his 3NT?

2NT - !Unusual notrump overcall -- 3- C; 3- D; 5+ H; 5+ S; 17+ total points; forcing

3♣/♦ would be accepted as natural overcalls

The explanations of the heart bids are absurd.

it was giving values for
10=10
9=9
8=8
etc
then deducting
K=-3
J=-1
maybe thats how it came up to those values
