I was playing with the web based version from the bbo online set play now( login to BBO online)
only to get a feel for what GIB does in this version since as far as I know this is the closest to the robot games on BBO.
the old log on way has the oldest GIB versions I believe and you can set thinking and play time there, I wasnt aware you could
also do this in the online version,

Hi Pigpenz,

No you cannot set thinking speeds in new version. Here, you either hire basic or advanced robot. Since you came using old version hire, you would be using basic bot ($1/week). Advanced bot is $1/day, and those are tourney standard bots.

In the old version of BBO, you can adjust the speed setting, and so, the simulation cycles the bots take.

In the old version, you use the same robot version as new version. These robot upgrades that we do are for robots in both old and new versions of BBO.
So if you prefer, sticking to old version is the same for your case.

I didnt think you could adjust the settings in the new version like the old version.
thanks for the info, tried to msg Fred about what version was best to play with if you wanted to play in ACBL bot games
he dint respond but I thought from earlier post by him that it was the newer versions. thanks

Wouldn't the way to make maximum tricks be make all the diamonds, clubs, spades if possible that would be +3 of course not quite possible with the given hand.

I dont know what simulations it ran but that sure seems like the pedestrian way to come up 13 tricks
