3NT is apparently an offer to play, 4 is a "help suit slam try" showing a maximum of 11 8421-points in clubs, and 4 is a cuebid showing 7 or less 8421-points in clubs. So what on earth am I supposed to bid?

Hint to whoever thought this up: if 4 is not a cuebid, then a 4 cuebid can't deny a 4 cuebid.

What about 5 or 5? Anyway I think I would punt 6, even if we have two heart losers they may get away on the clubs if opps don't lead a heart.

In reality I bid 4 anyway, and gave up when the bot refused to cuebid. Slam was actually on but only because trumps were 2-2 onside (partner GIB had QJ4). Fortunately, just taking those 12 tricks was worth over 70%, because most people played in 4 and contented themselves with a marginally safer line for 11 tricks...

What are 3 and 4? Hopefully at least one is of the "help suit" variety.

3 - 3+ , 18 TP
4 - 4+, 12-22TP

5 - biddable C, 11-21HCP
5 - 22TP, forcing to 5

What is requested by GIB partner?

You could bid 4 first, then over 4 if you're still keen to approach the slam, bid 5.

But anyway, to approach slam you are hoping for exactly A and not or K/QJ in partner, right?
