:) :)

I am dead serious about bidding 3S with your hand though.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

So with a hand too strong to overcall 1 I would double and bid 4/3?
Now 3 here is only 4 spades, looking for the best part score?

I must admit that I had never seen the auction 1H - Dbl - p - 3H before, and maybe I will never see it again. As I posted before, jumping to 3H as a stopper ask should be forbidden when 2H is also available for a general force. Over 1H - Dbl - p - 2H - p you can jump to 3S with the strong hand with spades. After 3H it is ugly (which is why one shouldn't jump to 3H unless it has a precise meaning), I'd probably still bid 3S to see what partner is up to.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I hope I don't see it either, I would happily bid 2/2.

3NT.

Since this is MP - 2NT is ok, but I would still bid 3NT,
although 2NT is certainly the better MP bid.

With kind regards
