It also seems to be expert fashion to double negatively with good support for partner's minor. Just because many do it, doesn't make it right. IMO, negative doubles should tell partner you're fixed by opponent's overcall -- there is no sensible alternative.

Yes indeed, I was thinking that Nige was talking about minimal openings, not hands with that amount of strength.
