I thought a club lead was obvious. I still think its obvious. The only way partner can have a good enough hand to beat this and not have overcalled is if he has clubs. Second choice is a spade. A red suit lead is off the planet imo.

If partner hesitates then my instinct was that the `normal lead' would be a spade if polled (even though I think its wrong). However, the only (relevant) thing partner can have to think about is if he has a long strong suit, and he cannot have a long strong major suit. Alternatively he could just have a strong balanced hand with diamonds well stopped and be considering a pen X. I do not think this second is likely given the lack of a 2NT over-call. After much umming and ahhing I decided that you have enough AI to be allowed to lead a club. Its just too unlikely that anything else is right. Would hope for a sympathetic TD. :)
