Double, hoping we get +200 for a good matchpoint score. If we have game, we are likely to go +500 on defense.

IMO we did good enough already to push them to 3. There is too much random on the hand to aim at a little target of 1 down, if we score 2 down or they make I am just happy passing.

I double....I never used to do this, and would hope, as does Fluffy, to collect 200...and all too often, would collect 100 and get an average to average minus.
I have an easy lead, a decent chance of 3 or even 4 tricks in my hand and I am entitled to some help from partner. I wouldn't dream of doing this at imps.
I know....dummy will have AJxx xxx x J10xxx (you did say they were bad) and rho Q10xxx x Axx AQxx and they chalk up 3 overtricks....is that more than their cold slam?
Heck, I have almost talked myself into passing.

A downside of 4♥ is that opponents may wake-up and bid a making 4♠.
IMO, Match-pointed pairs is more of a test of skill than IMPs.
Furthermore, for teams, although BAM is quite a good way of scoring, an even better method would be to add the match-points of team-mates over the whole field.

I disagree, it's actually the purest form where accuracy counts on every hand. Every single trick counts, bidding to the correct contract is always important,... Bidding a 35% game is ridiculous in this form of scoring, it's pretty much forced when vul playing imps. I must admit that it's a completely different form of bridge.
Anyway I'd Double. If you don't let them make some doubled contracts, you're not doubling enough. We have an easy lead and some defense.

Free, I'm not sure you're disagreeing at all. At least when I say it, there's no denigration. Matchpoints is a fascinating game - I really enjoy playing it - but it's not Bridge, it's Matchpoints.

I understand you might think this way, but for me, before BBO spread I played 98% of my boards at MPs, now with BBO maybe closer to 90%, what I understand by bridge is matchpoints, and there is a lot of people like me.

Partner had xx KTxx Axx xxxx. They can take 8 tricks in spades, you can take 10 tricks in hearts (LHO has stiff Q, RHO has the spade A).
LHO had her bid, xxxx Q xxx KQT9x, and did well not to bid more the first time, since then we would be in 4H.
+200 was worth about an average (brutal), so presumably +420 would have been worth a lot and +100 not very much.
