Does anyone know a way of copying hand results from the windows version into an Excel spreadsheet?

I wanted to do some analysis of scoring when we get the bid versus when the opps get the bid to see if we score better on offence or defence.

Thanks

Bridge Captain's free double-dummy solver is your friend

http://www.bridge-ca...downloadDD.html

It will download all of your hands from this month or last month (or a couple of other options) and then analyse each one for you.

You must of course take on board the inherent weakness in relying on a double-dummy calculated par result as being a fair reflection of skilful play.

(If this doesn't suit, then yes, you can download the hands from the MyHands website into an Excel workbook. There are some old threads in this forum about it but it is not complicated).

All of the above is independent of whether you played using the Windows v Flash interface for playing. On the other hand, they do rely on your playing hands that end up in the MyHands database, which not all do. If you play rubber or teaching tables on BBO, for instance, these will not help, although the Windows interface does in that case win out by saving the hands locally as lin files. How to convert a lin file into Excel is beyond me.

there is a converter if you want, but Bridge Captain seems better - depends on what you plan to do with the hands, of course...
