Scoring: MP

Playing 4SS you get the 10 of diamonds lead

first three tricks

10 Q 6 3
4 A 5 8
2 A 8 3

What's the plan now, and how many tricks do you expect to make?

I shall try cashing winners and pitching losers.

I don't understand the thread title.

I draw the last trump, cash the A, then play off all but 1 of my trumps throwing 2 hearts and a club. Then play my last trump and hope for some double squeeze, probably around hearts.

Edit: didn't see trick 3, our best squeeze attempt is to hope someone has 5+ and either KQ or enough high diamonds to make the 8 a threat (only works with West).

Opening lead gave up 3 tricks huh. Were clubs 7-0? WoOt west led the diamond ten from x KQx KT QT9xxxx whereas you would have gone up on a club lead, had it ruffed, and gotten a heart return, win, lose a spade to east, heart, and queen of clubs cutting off communication and you lose a trick in each suit. Now you can squeeze west in hearts and clubs to lose only the trump ace.

lead costs two tricks.

What layout would keep the double squeeze from happening?

ou know LHO has K of diamonds and RHO has a high heart. On the last trump LHO and RHO are squeezed.

making 6.

LHO keeps a high diamond and high heart, RHO keeps club length?
