Yep. Here we go again. If 2C meets your particular standards, it still doesn't necessarily mean it is the right bid on this hand.

1-You need to be sure it meets partner's standards as well.
2-Even if that is a given, perhaps Gnasher's plan of 1NT, then 3C if allowed later, will work out better; giving a total picture.

1N 100
2N 80
2C 70
P 30

When aiming for a filthy red 3N usually best not to draw the defense a roadmap.

fwiw I think 2C is the best bid with this hand. It's a little light but you have a good suit. To my mind, 1NT is a far bigger misdescription.

When I see a misfit (0-1 support for partner's hearts) I go slow. Here pass.
If I bid 2C I promise H:xx+ or near GF hcp.

THE feature that helps most in game decision is 1NT showing S-stop and no fear (enough hcp to be near game) on this hand.

Funny that 2N receives a positive score.

The 1N bidders are nuts. Partner can bid 3 over 3 if he actually wants to get to 3N

I bid 2 Not forcing and then 2NT to show my spade stopper.

Its a simple game I have two features and I show them.
