Stuck in a cue-bid.. Surely forcing..

surely 3♦ should be forcing, if nothing else?....

GIB needs a hardcoded "do something sensible" ability to use when the player cuebids any suit where the opponents have shown at least 5(?) cards but it doesn't have an already defined meaning for that bid. So here it would kick in and North should probably bid 3S or 3NT.

That said, actually here the bid should have a defined meaning - a good raise of clubs! (Or stopper ask for 3NT)

I could have lived with either of those defined meanings...but surely without a diamond stop the GIB N should bid 3S or some number of clubs, not 3NT (even if the latter is only 2 down, not six)...and yes lol for jamegumb's contribution :)

Was a bug in the GIB knowledge base. We'll fix it & get a new version out asap.

Please let us know what bugs are fixed in what release and when.

The standard communication with users - like you get with a browser such as chrome or firefox ...

Without knowing what has happened and when we forum users do not know if we can employ cue bids with safety.

I've located and fixed the bug. When we release a new GIB I'll include the description of the fix in the release notes.
