Trying to ignore the fact that I misclicked when I bid 2♠ instead of my intended 2♥... (My majors could easily be reversed and not affect the conversation; the same auction occurred at another table, substituting 2♥ for 2♠.)

3♣ is explained as 2+C; 4+D; 6+ total points. Would 3♥ (instead of 3♣) have been artificial and forcing? If so, should the existence of this possibility (or any other factor) limit the point range on the 3♣ bid?
Note: at tables where the auction went 1♣-1♦-1♥-2♣, 2♣ is explained as 4+C; 4+D; 6+ total points, again appearing to be unlimited.

The explanation of 3NT includes 21HCP. Did that bid really show more values than already shown by the jump shift?

5♣ is explained as 3+C; 4+D; 5- 8421HCP in C; 11+ total points.
Is GIB running away from 3N or trying to get to 6♣?
Would GIB really want to make this bid with only 3 clubs?
Why does this deny ♣A or ♣KQ?
GIB doesn't have 11+ total points.

I'd say 11 total points 3 for the singleton+ 7HCP+ 1 for length in the trump suit. Pity the contract has little chance in NT or clubs.
