GIB made a limit raise. I think this hand is clearly too strong for that.

Hands like this are tricky to bid. You want to be in game, but it's not good enough for Jacoby or splinter, as they're likely to excite partner into looking for slam.

Some players have special gadgets to show this. With my regular partner, we use 3NT to show a constructive hand with 5-card support. Another way I've heard is to bid a forcing NT followed by jumping to game.

Since GIB doesn't have any of these in its system, it has to underbid or overbid.

It appears that a majority of respondents disagree with you, since they chose 4H in the poll.

I am simply suggesting that GIB's evaluation of this hand should be "game forcing" not "game invitational".

I like 4♥ with this hand. I've modified the range for splinters to include this sort of hand. We'll let you know when the next version is released.
