GIB's explanations of South's bids seem to be limited to a specified number of characters. The explanation of my 1♦ opener is "Minor suit opening -- 3+D; 11-21HCP; 1". The unrestricted explanation probably says "12-22 total points", but I only see the abridged version. This auction happens to proceed 1♦-1♠-2♥. (Yes, same hand as another post, but this is a different problem, so I made a new thread.) The explanation of 2♥ is "Opener reverse -- 5+D; 4+H; 3-S; 21-". Again, I can probably guess that the description ends with "21-HCP; 22- total points", but there are other cases where it's not so obvious.

It would be much more helpful to see all the details of the bid rather than the initial label. Of course, if the length of the explanations of Souths bids we unlimited, like the explanations of the other three seats, that would work too
