(1♣)-p-(p)-Dbl
(p)-1NT-(p)-?
1NT is explained as 2+C; 4-H; 4-S; 7-11HCP.
I would like to bid 2♣ to look for a 4-4 major fit, so I position my cursor on that bid to preview its meaning. It says: 4+C; 4+D; 4+H; 4+S; 13+ total points. I don't want to tell partner I have 16+ cards...

I'm more skeptical of the explanation of 1NT. Wouldn't GIB bid a major if it had 4 cards there? And can it really have only 2 clubs, that would mean that it skipped over a 5-card suit or 2 4-card suits.

Matter of style possibly - I might well bid 1NT in that position holding a 4333 or fairly flat hand with a stop in clubs and 7-11 HCP, regardless of 4-card major or not. Of course, hopefully partner has the means of asking for a 4cM (stayman or similar) otherwise you really shouldn't do that
