Why is North bothering with a help suit slam try opposite 18-19HCP and exactly 3S? Why does the description of 5S specify 2-3 8421 points in H?

With Gib's cuebidding style, it should be 2-7 8421 pts. If you play that a cue shows A or K, then it's 2-3 (2+ because of the HSST). It does seem like an aggressive slam try (Axx Jxx AKJx AQx is a 19 count and still requires the diamond finesse working and either diamonds 3-3 or the club finesse working).

EDIT: In fact, Gib seems to cuebid either A or K as well since it says 3- 8421 in D. 2-3 for hearts is right then (best holding it can theoretically have is QJ while it definately has one of the top 3 for it's 2-11 in the 4H bid i.e. it has the Q).

I don't think I've ever seen GIB cue bid a King.
