three situations, you are unfavourable at Pairs in second seat in all:
  • (1)-?

  • (p)-?

  • (p)-p-(1)-p
    (2)-?

... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

at unfavourable, pass in all 3 scenarios, assuming I read them correctly.

The 3rd looks superficially the most attractive for competition until you realize that the 2 bidder didn't weak two and almost certainly lacks 3 spades, thus will often hold 6 or even 7 minor suit cards while partner is a favourite to have 4+ spades....ugh!

I agree with mikeh. Pass all of them.
I don't consider it close.

the only one where the %age is possibly >50% is the first one and I would only do it at MP

First two are obv passes imo. I might have fallen from grace and doubled on the 3rd ATT but upon reflection I think it's clear to pass.

I would pass all of these.

The only item I'll dispute is that I would consider the 1D opening the safest of the three. A sane player would pass all three, though I admit to feeling a pull of temptation on the first two. I'd have to be equal vul to do it.
