4NT
No previous discussion. I, in first position, opened 1C on a big hand (18 or 19 highs, I forget the exact hand) and 2=2=4=5 shape. 5C is a bit lucky but it comes home. Unfortunately we were not in 5C.
Partner and I are, I think, both open to opinions on the meaning of 4NT. Partner's shape was 5=2=3=3.

A double by the club opener would probably have to do, with a random balanced or semi-balanced mountain.

generally agree with this
the Freman, Chani from the move "Dune"

W has a 3=7=1=3 shape including the AQ of hearts and the A of clubs. With spades splitting, clubs behaving and the board entry in diamonds I don't think they can stop me from taking four clubs, three diamonds ant four spades in 5C. But right, it's very lucky. And 4S played N is down 2 (heart-heart-club-heart should set up two spade tricks).
OK, that's resulting. But do I really have to pass when 4H rolls back to me? I do have to worry about partner bidding 4S over a double, do i not?
responding to a question: No, not a big club auction. Std 2/1 stuff w strong no trumps.
