6D obv, partner obv has a stiff spade since they JUMPED, and he doesnt have support for hearts since he PASSED, and LHO has clubs since we are stiff, so that leaves partner with the DIAMONDS baby!

Heh, I mean I think you know this is a wtp pass dude, sorry you missed 6D when partner has ace sixth and out or w/e. Ok, maybe you just missed 5 and they were cold for 4s ;)

I would try 5. Not sellin' out, no siree. They rate to go down, yes, but come one we're all offense.

Hi,

it is either Pass or X, as long as X is understood as penalty.

With kind regards

I would double,

If partner has a heart fit, we will often be in 5 Heart.
If partner has a typical hand with no big fit we may take 2 Hearts, a spade and a trick in minor or a trump promotion if he has a singleton honour.
If partner bids 5 on his 6 weak clubs.... Oh *****. :)
if partner bids 5 , I would smile and glady accept +1.
Kind Regards

Roland

well this thread is the same hand as
http://forums.bridge...showtopic=40146

we should probably have lost the match as the other table bid 3 on the responding hand but for some reason the opener merely bid 5...

feels like transfers after michaels are quite a nice idea
