partner deals and it goes

p-2D-p-3NT
x-p-p-4D
end

My partner puts a card face down and I instinctively nod and he turns it over, it's the ace of hearts. opps tell him that it's not his lead, but they don't call the director.

What are my obligations here?

My hand was

ATxx
xxxx
Qxx
Kx

It's quite clear that he doubled because he thinks hearts are going to set the contract but now I have all the UI in the world. I know opps could ask me to or forbid a heart lead among other options but nobody ever calls the TD at this club.

If the TD is not called, your partner is not obliged to retract his lead. So play continues as if it were a legal lead.

Was me, I'd find another club.

You're not obligated to call attention to your partner's irregularity. I would do nothing unless dummy is put down on your right. Then I'd play on and forget about it. If they insist you lead, call the director.

You have UI. Your obligation wrt to that is to make every effort to avoid taking advantage of it. So if you think "I should lead a heart" consider whether there is another lead you might make and make that one instead. If a heart is led on your right, and you would normally play low, then play low. If a heart is led on your left, and partner ducks, and you win it, don't lead it back. This obligation persists throughout the play.

Attention has been drawn to an irregularity it is everyone's obligation to call the TD.

With experienced opponents, I would shrug or ask "OK?" and play on.

With a non-playing TD and inexperienced oppononents, I would call the TD.

In a club with a playing TD and inexperienced opponents, I would ask "Are you accepting the lead?" and play on if they played on. I might say "You have rights: for instance, you can forbid a heart lead". Once I got to close to making rulings as a player, I would have to call the TD.

[I guess if I were the playing TD, I would just go through the spiel for an opening lead out of turn.]

Or, you could do what David Stevenson would do and say "Oh, my! This is all very confusing, why don't we ask the director to explain what should happen now"

Why? You aren't one of the slimy (us  ) He wasn't saying all bridge players are slimy, with that wording. He was referring to the slimy, evil ones. Oh, maybe you are a football player and resented the comparison.
