... it made. Nevertheless my partner chastised me (she was right of course). It was the finals of a knockout and I felt we had to take chances against what appeared to be a better team. That part was right, at least: despite the 11 IMPs for the grand, we trailed by 17 at halftime and lost decisively.

Ah well, second place (in our bracket, not overall) isn't bad I guess. We got the same result in the Sunday swiss, so I choose to call the weekend a success.

Well it would be ... except that the swiss was bracketed too. So I counted them the same.
