Scoring: IMP

The auction proceeds:
1♣ 1♥* showing spades
2♣ 3N

Are you done now?
If you think that you should bid now, what would 4 of a red suit show?

I would have raised spades, I now pass, and I don't believe the auction. Did partner forget the system?

I think you have to assume 2NT was invitational in their bidding system

I meant that he forgot what the system was when he responded 1♥. It seems unlikely (but not impossible) that he has only four spades and fewer than four hearts, yet neither opponent bid.

Agree with raising spades earlier (1S). If you are saying 1S should be specifically a weak NT I suggest you amend the meaning to include this hand type with 3S.

Like Gnasher I find it hard to believe the auction has taken this turn with the opponents silent and partner not checking back or doing something else.

Anyway, I've made my bed and I'll lie in it. Its still possible partner has a balanced 14 with 4 spades, a double heart stop and a club card so I see no reason to disturb 3N.
