Obviously depends on what the double showed. If it showed 5+ balanced, I think you have to raise. You have 9 and they're all working.

Been searching but cant find meaning of double sorry. My guess is 4 or 5 plus since the player in question did bid six with this hand. Ricco van Prooyen playing with Louk Verhees against Israel for a match to determine the third pair for the E.C. in Oostende. Partner had A, xx, AKQXXX, Axxx , club queen right diamonds 2-2

I think this is a raise - LHO has diamonds and RHO has clubs so our finesses rate to be on.

While I think playing dbl as unlimited showing 5+ or something is weak agreement I don't think it matters much in this hand.
If partner has some shape and a lot of diamonds he will bid 5♦ with the same hands opposite 6-7dbl, gf dbl and 5+dbl.

If you disagree, can you give sample hand which bid 5♦ opposite GF double but pass opposite 6+ double ?

IIRC the 1st round double was explained as "5-7 any, or 8+ balanced".

6♦ is clear. I am playing partner for as little as A xx AKQxxx Axxx with the Club Q right and diamonds 2-2.

Seriously, this is a complete guess. I would pass at the table, but not without misgivings.

EDIT: This is what I get for copying part of someone else's post.
I find it highly unlikely that the diamonds are 2-2 if we have a 10 card diamond fit.

Why is that a LOL? Out of all the comments he makes that one was about as true as any! Partner will take a chance on slam if there is no room to investigate and he has to guess and can make opposite a decent minimum response.

Because we promised only a 5 count AND because our hand could be much worse even with the same values.

I agree bidding 6 or not is a guess for responder.
