1 then 3 looks canonical.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

I would bid 2h the first time if it's available (as a fit jump). I guess from the poll options that it's not, but then again, xx would have never crossed my mind, so I'm not trusting the poll options.

1H- Generally you don't want to XX with a 5 card major, and generally you don't want to XX with a fit. You certainly don't XX with both.

3D- Obv

Hi,

1H, 3D.

XX - do I really want to defend clubs? or spades? With a fit for p?
2D, after XX - do I really want to bury hearts?
2D, after 1H - do I really only have a simple preference?
XX, followed by 3D should be game forcing.

With kind regards
Marlowe

1 / 3 of course.

I'm trying to think of how playing a weak NT affects this auction. Maybe if your minor openings are really beefed-up - but I see no reason not to make my normal call(s).
Hi y'all!

I agree with 1H then 3D, but 3D is definitely an overbid with such soft values and a singleton in partner's suit. But 3D is less of an overbid than 1H-2D is an underbid.

Not sure what 2 is initially the other side of the Atlantic, for me it's this hand with 5/4 7-10.
