I would X planning to cuebid over 2x except 3N over 2N.

agreed...altho I have a sneaking suspicion that my cue will be interpreted as agreeing hearts...after all, it is how we'd start a slam move with 4 hearts...but 'game before slam', so partner should be catering to this hand type.

Neither of you promised 4H at this point. With 2344, partner will bid 2H when he can't sit for the X, for example
