So nobody so far agrees with my call. I figure if I ask enough people, somebody eventually will.

I'd just bid 2. If 3 is a mixed raise, I think this is close and would probably do that.

I am a 3 bidder.

I have noticed that MarkDean likes to pass whenever pass is an option (and often when it is not :)), so my guess is that pass was his call here.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

Would never consider anything other than 3S. If you were to ask me to write a textbook example of a 3S bid this would be it!

I think most people have a jump cue (3H) available in this auction for mixed so 3S can be weak

You can eliminate 3S as a possible call for Mark, since that's what I would have done.

Yeah, I think my takeout doubles are about an ace stronger than yours.
But no, I did not pass this one: I bid 4. It might have been a bit much.

3S [weak]. This is obvious as a kneejerk reaction, as well as after considerable time to think about it.

w/w with 2 queens I think this is just too much, but I'm happy to see you bidding

3 is very normal.
4 can of course work , but that seems too much. I would need a 5th or a void for that.

3 is very normal. Anything else other than 2 seems clearly wrong to me.

I'd bid 3 which is a weak raise.

The call should be a non-constructive 2 raise or equivalent if available but 2 if nothing else is available. 3 as a preemptive raise is also a playable choice.

I'd bid the weak fella (3). Think 4 is a bit much at nil, although I accept it could work.
