Interesting. I was going to play a diamond, but upon thinking about the possible continuation, I think I would just try to clear spades and hope for clubs coming in.

Which continuations are you worried about? Playing diamonds won't gain very often - the shapes would probably have to be 3523-2551 or 2533-3541 - but it doesn't seem to risk much. If they play another heart, we can ruff, cash ♠A, and play another diamond, planning to ruff the third round and draw trumps. If something horrid happens on the third round of diamonds, clubs probably weren't coming in anyway.
