I noticed some interesting enhancements:

Show player names at start of round. Have you ever wondered who you are playing? You rarely actually see it on a convention card.
Players can review and edit their scores. Hope that is an option!

Show Current Ranking. How many like barometer scoring?

I hope they will be using some of these machines in Reno, hope to see some of you there.

I'm told that the TD the ACBL sent to run our local sectional last weekend brought some Bridgemates with him (his personal property, as I understand it). Unfortunately, I was unable to be there, so I missed them. :(

At the regional here this past week I was told by the directors that they are expecting to use 400 Bridgemates and 400 BridgePads at Reno. :(

They were using them in San Diego, I expect them to use them at all NABCs from now on.

My 2nd nearest club has Bridgemates and a screen to display current position - the Bridgemates are excellent - the screen is far more of a distraction than anything - I like to sit with my back to it.

I have been around both machines pretty often. I was speaking about the Bridgemate II when I said I hoped they would be at Reno. We used the Bridgepad at the Chico Sectional recently and it went very smoothly as our TD was trained by Diane Barton-Paine who was their first TD-Demonstrator. But, surprisingly, she is now pushing either machine - just get them!!

In San Diego they had all 3: BridgePad, BridgeMate, and BridgeMate II.

I'll be there Joanne. By the way, never really thanked you enough for joining our knockout team at the Portland Regional, we really appreciate you stepping in at the last 2nd to fill in for our sick teammate.
