You are on lead. Your opponents are using Standard American, and have this auction (you and partner passing): 1C (may be short) 2NT 3NT
Your hand is: ♠A K J 5 ♥10 9 ♦J 10 9 8 6 4 ♣2
Partner and I ended up having an argument over this, and so when we play together again on Friday I want to have something to show which of us is right (hopefully me).
♠K lead asks for drop of ♠Q or count if no ♠Q. If you would lead ♠A, please choose ♠K above.

I would lead the ♠A. I don't particularly want partner to unblock the Q when 9xxx hits in dummy, and count will only be more useful than attitude if declarer has exactly Qx. Especially at MP, I like this more than a diamond, which could just be too slow, or which we might still be able to switch to at T2 if the suit is setting up.

I'd like to explain why I'd lead a diamond at IMPs, but the thread has been closed so I can't.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Yes, I didn't fully read the explanation b4 leading. Asking for the Q drop was too outre for me to even think of it as a choice and standard would be the A so have to reverse in this situation.
