Would anyone else like to have the seating position as it really is? For instance, if you are playing the E hand, your cards show in the E position, not in front of you? As it is now, I find it very confusing to review a hand just played if I'm playing in any position except S.

Not me. I'd prefer to have the cards in front of me, just as if I was sitting at a real table.

Perhaps what you both want, then, is a hand-reviewer applet that automatically puts your hand at the bottom of the screen, not an option to play the board sideways initially.

It wouldn't be a bad idea - have checkboxes for "north at top," "declarer at bottom", and "me at bottom". Simplifies rotating hands to post, simplifies reviewing one's own session, and allows those who don't want any change to keep it as it is.

There's a forum devoted to software suggestions a few rows down from this one, if you'd care to put a proposal forward to the site management.
