Yeah I'd redouble, not so much because I want to grab them but because I won't know whether to compete to 3S.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

I think I do know whether to compete to 3♠, so I'd just bid that. Closer to 2N than anything else.
Now I realized I'm not actually sure what han means by "I won't know whether to compete to 3S". You won't know ever, so you're just going to double them? Or is it a typo and you mean "I don't know now, so I hope partner helps me out over the xx". If the latter, I don't see how that's ever going to happen.
