Hello, this is the twenty-fifth thread in the big poll. Please provide the most probable result after East opens 1♠ and you either

West will raise to 2♠ regardless of south's action, and east will bid 4♠. Assuming south finds a fairly normal diamond lead, this relies on guessing the spade suit. I suspect that if south does not pass, east should always get this right by playing the heart bidder/takeout doubler for the shorter spades (and the ace). If south passes it seems quite possible to go wrong. I'll go with:

a: 50% of -420, 50% of +50.
b, c: -420

a-b = 5 IMPs (50% of award for 470)
a-c = 5 IMPs (50% of award for 470)
b-c = 0 IMPs
