I'd like to see what directing is like. Seems safer to be a co-director to see what goes on rather than set one up myself. Anybody running a tournament that they wouldn't mind making me a director for so I could get my feet wet?
Thanks.

Find any Tournament that suits your time zone and then contact the Tournament Host or any listed director
BBO TDs spend 90% of their time replacing disconnected/unresponsive players so it is not all glamour, fame and fortune
If you have the right attitude, then new directors are always welcome. If you have a serious problem at any table then call for reinforcements, do not try to handle it yourself. Most directors would be happy to teach you to adjust etc
Leave me an offline if you would like to get your feet wet in a free tournament

Ouch!!
Sorry about the lazy wording in the above post
Having re-read it, I can see that it may appear patronizing and that certainly was not my intention
