Luckily we have discussed this everyday situation in our regular partnership.

The pass wants us to lead a minor if partner ignores the stop card and esp. diamonds if partners did stay quite. Something like "uuh" or "oh" forces a diamond lead.

Quite easy and effective. So an obvious club for me.

Without this scientific bidding tools:
The professional player did not open, but now bids slam. He must have a very very long two suiter and one of his suits is obv. spades.
So the tricks which may disappear are clubs so I lead one.

Maybe he has xxxxxx,-,AKJxx,xx or xxxxxx,V,AKJxxx,x and declarer the ace of hearts and partner the ace of spades. Okay in this case, partner may had doubled 6 Spade, but who knows...
Kind Regards

Roland

You're such a card counter fascist.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I lead whatever the missing 13th card is, since you must be hiding the right lead from us.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
